1973 - 2011

Dawn Kristie (Smith) Steber, passed away Monday at her home in Clay, NY. Dawn is survived by her husband, Thomas Steber; her son, Vincent Michael; sister, DeDe (Craig) Milewitz; her parents, Vincent and Judy Smith; her nephews Jesse and Kody; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Dawn was born in Albany, NY, July, 6, 1973. She lived there until she was 7 when she moved to Liverpool, NY. She graduated from Liverpool High School and the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Political Science degree. She attended Bryant and Stratton and received her paralegal degree. She was employed as a paralegal and then worked as a salesperson with Philip Morris and was a pharmaceutical rep. with Phizer. Dawn was a communicant of Pitcher Hill Community Church.

Dawn was true to her name. She was the joy and light in everyone’s heart that she met. Always ready with her bright smile and sense of humor. She loved her family and friends, the beach, boating, camping, her “64” mustang, T.V. nights with her friends, Dave Mathews Concerts, singing in the car and big birthday parties with her son.

Linda L. Muraca, 38

Linda L. Muraca, 38, of Cicero, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday. Born in Syracuse, NY, Linda graduated from Liverpool High School in 1991. Her dedication and commitment made her an invaluable employee, a sentiment shared by many at the Sensis Corporation. She was devoted to her family especially her daughter, Areya. Linda was an exceptional woman with a positive attitude, high energy and loved life. She had an infectious smile and personality that lit up the room when she entered. She will be greatly missed by many. Linda is survived by her daughter, Areya; parents, Raymond and Barbara Lichorobiec; sister, Lori Lichorobiec; soul mate, Brian Jackson and his daughter, Brianna; Areya's father, Christopher Muraca; aunt, Louanne Higgins; and other close family members and friends.

Steven Brister

Stephen C. Brister February 2, 2010 Stephen C. Brister, 36, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at University Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he was a longtime resident of Liverpool. Stephen was a 1991 honor graduate of Liverpool High School and attended the University of Buffalo. He had been a salesperson at Oak Express in Syracuse for the past seven years and was attending OCC for Computer Technology. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and had a wonderful sense of humor. Stephen was a beloved son, brother, uncle and nephew who will be truly missed by his mother and step-father, Martha L. and Michael J. Scanlon of Liverpool; father, Stephen L. Brister of Florence, NY; two sisters, Stephanie A. (Cecil) Edwards of Grapeland, TX and Rebecca L. (Donald) Dwyer of Liverpool; three nieces, Katherine, Megan and Amanda; two nephews, Stephen and Zachary; a grandniece, Kassidy; a grandnephew, Kolton and several aunts and uncles. Stephen was predeceased by his older brother, Robert D. Brister in 1989. Calling hours will be Friday, February 5, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 in St. John's Church, 8290 Soule Rd, Liverpool, NY. Burial will be private in St. Martinsberg Cemetery in the spring.
